As part of the simultaneous candlelit vigils that will be held in solidarity with Afghan women, a bridge event will be held in Bristol on 31st October at 5.30pm.
The march will start on Pero's Bridge and is being organised by the Bristol Feminist Network. You can see the event on Facebook here.
Description: Please join in wearing green scarves to join a national movement to show solidarity with the women of Afghanistan, who are campaigning to have a voice in the peace negotiations. On 31st October, women and men up and down the country will be standing in solidarity with women's rights activists in the country, with candlelit vigils and bridge events. Join us at Pero's bridge at 5.30pm, where we will be wearing green - the colour of women's rights activism in the country - and demanding that William Hague recognises that the women of Afghanistan need to be heard and listened to and represented at the peace negotiation table.
